I will be the first to admit that I have had some traumatic experiences that caused me to believe my light wasn't worth shining. Because of my experiences with both childhood and adulthood trauma, I have battled with depression and anxiety for most of my life. There was a point in time that this reality shaped the way I chose to live my life which resulted in living in fear, sadness, hopelessness, toxic relationships etc. Gracefully for me, I have been able to grow and learn from my experiences and I didn’t do it alone. With the help of God, prayer, counseling, community and true commitment to doing my self-work, I have been able to not only manage my depression and anxiety but use it as a tool to give voice to mental health awareness.

Not only did I commit myself to the life journey of self-love, self-actualization, embracing my divinity and humanity; I am committed to teaching, nurturing and creating communities for others to do the same. With that being said, the light I have the divine right to shine is the light of HOPE, POSSIBILITY, LOVE, EMPOWERMENT, COMMUNITY, UNAPOLOGETIC INDIVIDUALITY, JUSTICE, PEACE, HEALING and ARTISTRY. I hope your experience on this site makes room for us to shine together!
